Zella M. Adams, 91, of Greensburg, died Sunday, September 28, 2025, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born April 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Maughan) Luzar. She was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. Zella’s faith was important to her, and she attended mass daily. Her family mattered above all else and she loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas “T.J.” Adams; and her brother, Joseph Luzar. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Thomas E. Adams; four children, JoAnn Szymkowiak (Lee), Ronald Adams (Tami), John Adams (Christine), and Georgiana Hood (Scott); daughter-in-law, Myrna Adams; eight grandchildren, Eberley, Tom, Dena, Nick, Max, John Thomas, Alexis, and Chloe; two step-grandchildren, Kayla and Zac; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Liam, and Mason; one anticipated great-grandchild; seven siblings, Mary Plassio, Kassy Polivka, Ruth Abbate, Vi Waryanka, Marty Luzar, Bill Luzar, and Ginny Stepinsky; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 AM Friday in St. Paul Parish, 820 Carbon Rd., Greensburg, PA 15601. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Parish.
Zella was devoted to her daily prayers, and she most likely prayed for you or someone you know. Her family respectfully requests that you honor her legacy by continuing to pray for those in need.
