William C. Swartz

William C. “Will” Swartz, 74, of Greensburg and Myrtle Beach, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025.  He was born in New Kensington, a son of the late Walter and Billie Swartz.  He was a 1968 graduate of Hempfield Area High School.  After graduation, he worked at Stuart’s Medical Supplies.  He then started his long career with Hoover Vacuum Company with many positions. 

Will loved making trips to Myrtle Beach with his wife to see all his friends at Harry the Hats, especially Buck.  He relaxed by socializing with his friends, watching FOX News, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins.  He was a member of the Roosevelt Club, Legion, SNPJ, Eagles, and the 49ers Club. 

In addition to his parents, Will was preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Josh” Swartz.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fordyce; four daughters, Lisa Swartz (Stephanie), Kim McMahan (Bob), Jennifer Oliver (Vince), and Kristen Bryson (John); two stepsons, Jeremy Fordyce (Jaime) and Ryan Fordyce (Shelly); 10 grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Sandy Okum (Ron); and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday, January 17, 2025, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the funeral home with the Rev. David Clement officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  www.bachafh.com
