William F. Shirey

William F. Shirey, 58, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at home.  He was born September 26, 1966 in Jeannette, a son of the late Robert E. and Lois J. (Allshouse) Shirey.  He worked as a chef at the former Mountain View Inn and former Ramada Inn both in Greensburg and most recently at Delaney’s Pub in Youngwood.  Bill was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Trauger and enjoyed camping at Camp Davis in Boyer, PA.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Buffemyer and 5 brothers, Robert E. Jr., Blaine A., Larry W., Timothy A. and Gary L. Shirey.  He is survived by his companion, Peter R. Sarna, 4 sisters, Bonnie S. Seiler and Darla K. Shirey both of Sacramento, CA, Lee A. Hoel of Wexford and Marsha L. Milla of Paduca, KY, 2 brothers, Brian R. Shirey of Greenville and Allen R. Shirey of Delaware and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 20 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 113 Dutch Hill Road, Latrobe.  LEO M.
