William S. Ruzbacky

William S. Ruzbacky, 69, of Hempfield Township, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born November 8, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Michael J. and Mary V. (Polakovsky) Ruzbacky.  Prior to retirement Bill worked for the former Harhai Refuse, at his uncle’s farm then at the former Valley Green Golf Course.  He was a former member of Hecla Vol. Fire Department.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol A. (Prinkey) Ruzbacky and a sister, Patricia Hajas.  He is survived by his brother, Leonard F. Ruzbacky of Greensburg, a sister, Margaret Bates of Latrobe, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hajas of Latrobe and 3 nephews, Ed and Nick Hajas and Mike Bates.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, when a funeral liturgy will be held with The Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant.  Private interment in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
