Bill Jones was born on September 22, 1941. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 18, 2024. He was preceded in death in death by his parents, William McDowell and Edna (Pierce) Jones; his brother, Barry Jones; a sister-in-law, Corky Caccia Miller; and two brothers-in-law, Danny and Lloyd Caccia. Also, his loving wife, Lora (Caccia) Jones. He is survived by his sister, Dianne Jones Dudley, and husband Warren Butch Dudley; a sister-in-law, Catherine Caccia; a brother-in-law, Richard and wife Lynn Caccia; two nephews, Derek Dudley and Devan Dudley and his wife Jen; two nieces, Shelisa Jones Harrison and husband Quinten and Terra Dudley; seven great great nephews, Justin Harrison, GioVonne, Imani, James, Noah, Majhi, and Dhestin Sanders; and one great great great nephew, Abishai Sanders. He is also survived by his cousins, Ronald and Nancy Maxson, Donna Ruble, and Elaine Maxson; and several cousins out of state. Bill worked for PennDOT for over 25 years as a driver and laborer. He was a member of The Open Door Baptist Church, Greensburg. He was active in the bus ministry as well as outreaches to win souls for Christ. Even though he was confined to Westmoreland Manor, he was able to go to church thanks to his dear friend Paul Bish. The family wants to especially thank the Nursing staff of 1 AB at Westmoreland Manor for the great care given for close to 7 years, (Tammy, Crystal, and Maria), to the 4th floor staff also as Bill was put into Hospice. Special thank you to Grane Hospice for keeping the family informed and to Chaplain Terrance who went above and beyond in the Lord’s work of comforting. There will be no public visitation or funeral.
