William “Bill” Anthony Hamay, 64, of Hunker, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 in New Stanton. He was born March 20, 1956 in Charleroi, a son of the late Martin J. and Marie (Spalla) Hamay. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette (Daversa) Hamay; three children, Chad Daversa and wife Laura, of Plum, Brandon Hamay and wife Erica, of New Stanton, and Maria Hamay, of Youngwood; four grandchildren, Colton, Abbey, McKenna, and Aria; his brother, Bob Hamay and wife Marilyn, of South Fayette; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Molly.
Bill enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and friends and was happiest when doing so on his boat at the Yough Lake. He always kept busy with projects around the house and believed “if something was worth doing, do it right.” He shared life lessons meant to instill strength in those he cared about, was good to his friends, had a kind and generous heart and will be greatly missed.
