William J. Bell, 72, of Greensburg, died Monday, April 6, 2026, at his home. He was born September 1, 1953, in Greensburg, a son of the late William and Rose (Walley) Bell.
He was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he owned and operated his own painting and home repair service. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and was an avid sports fan with a special love for the Miami Hurricanes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Elaine (Hantz) Bell; and a sister, Barbara (Bell) Yusko. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Denise (Strizzi) Bell; a daughter, Rose Marie Bell of Greensburg; a son, William A. Bell (Elizabeth) of Irwin; two beloved grandchildren, Oliver and Scarlett Bell; two brothers, John E. Bell (Sheila) of Greensburg, and Steve J. Bell (Alicia) of Gulfport, FL; a sister, Helenanne Bell of Stuart FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. www.bachafh.com Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Interment with will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. “GO CANES!”
