William E. Barber, Jr., 66 of Irwin, died Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Independence Health, Westmoreland Hospital. He was born December 29, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of William Barber, Sr. and the late Dolores (Lohr) Barber. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Scozio’s Shop n’ Save. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ, tissue and cornea donation. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Barber, and sister-in-law, Kathy Barber. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Jamie (Pevarnik) Barber of Irwin; a daughter, Jeannette Riccardino of West Virginia; a very special granddaughter, Lillian Dowling of Greensburg; brothers Alan Barber and wife Patti of Greensburg and Earl Barber and wife Anitta of Greensburg; sister Diane Sprung and husband Butch of Greensburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 7 PM Monday, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, at which time a funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with William Connley officiating.
