Walter M. Ostrosky, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Mountain View Senior Living, Hempfield Township. He was born March 21, 1941, in Trauger, a son of the late Walter B. and Frances L. (Shusha) Ostrosky. He was a graduate of Hurst High School, Class of 1959, and then graduated from Youngstown State University. Prior to retirement, Walter worked at the Westmoreland County Prison and previously for Volkswagen of America, New Stanton. He had been a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Calumet. Walter enjoyed his D.I.Y. projects, woodworking, the outdoors and watching football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael P. Ostrosky; and his brother, Joseph E. Ostrosky. He is survived by a son, Vincent J. Ostrosky, of Mt. Pleasant; his daughter, Kimberly A. Ireland and husband, Charles, of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Cody, Shane, P.J. and Samantha Ostrosky, Nick Ireland, Brandon and Nicole Ostrosky; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Ostrosky. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, PA 15676, at which time a funeral liturgy service will be held with The Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township. www.bachafh.com.
