Walter N. Naglich, 92, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born on December 29, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Urick) Naglich.
Walter was a lifelong Tamburitza music player and taught his children to play as well. He played in numerous groups, including the Danny Kukich Orchestra and the Balkan Four Orchestra. He enjoyed Tamburitza music so much that he even made Tamburitza instruments that were beautiful and beautiful sounding. Walter was a member of the Tamburitza Association of America where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1993. He was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and the Serbian National Federation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Mandak (John). He is survived by his wife, Diane (Krovocheck) Naglich; two sons, Nicholas Walter Naglich (MaryPat) and Daniel Naglich (Carolyn); his daughter, Sandra Shannon (Montey); his granddaughter, Renee Eckhardt (Mark); two great granddaughters, Findley and Harper; his sister, Jane Lytle (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.
