Vincent Dalicandro

Vincent Dalicandro, age 87, of South Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 peacefully, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born April 7, 1934, in Greensburg, son of the late Rose (DiMarino) and Nazzio Dalicandro. He retired from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County after a 37-year career.  He was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Vince valued the strength of family, took pride in taking care of his family, was an ethical person, and worked hard his entire life.  He enjoyed camping with his wife, Lois, fishing, and spending time with his family. Everyone was welcome at family gatherings. He adored his wife, enjoyed her company for over 65 years, and valued spending time with her, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Loveridge) Dalicandro on May 22, 2017, their son, David Dalicandro, and his brother, Frank Dalicandro.  He is survived by a son, Vincent Dalicandro and his wife Denise, of Greensburg; two daughters, Karen Smith and her husband James, and Kristine Noel and her husband Robert, all of South Greensburg; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Dalicandro, of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Mandi Dalicandro (Adam), Kristine Donaldson, Robert Noel (Lindsey), David Dalicandro (Amanda), Vince Dalicandro (Krista), Matthew Smith (Ashley), and Michael Dalicandro (April), 15 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Madison, Lyla, Reegan, Noah, Ella, Gianna, David, Sebastian, Emerson, Vienna, Roma, Leo, and Makenna; seven brothers and sisters, Marion Dalicandro, of Columbus, OH, Nicholas Dalicandro, of Kingston, RI, Loretta Yaniro, of Greensburg, John Dalicandro, of Greensburg, Robert Dalicandro (Marie), of Greensburg, Anthony Dalicandro (Karen), of Mt. Pleasant, and Louise Panichella (Tom), of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral liturgy will begin at 10 AM Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Dunmire as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.  www.bachafh.com
