Timothy G. Steele

Timothy G. Steele, 61, of Greensburg, died Monday, October 18, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born April 21, 1960, in Jeannette, a son of the late Robert L. and Lois (Rumick) Steele.  He was a 1978 graduate of Hempfield High School and a 1980 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  Tim had been a movie theatre manager in Oil City and St. Marys, and was also a supervisor at a rehabilitation workshop.  He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Tim’s hobby was repairing and restoring antique jukeboxes.  He loved music, especially oldies.  He also loved to sing with the El-Reys acapella group.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tracee Steele Swartz.  He is survived by his wife of 36 years, MaryAnn (Nye) Steele; two brothers, Patrick Steele (Kathy), and Robert L. Steele Jr.; and two nephews, Jesse Steele, and John Swartz Jr.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park.  www.bachafh.com
