Timothy C. Piper Sr., 74, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born July 9, 1948, in Latrobe, a son of the late James W. and Mary (Smith) Piper. Tim served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 and was a member of the D.A.V. Prior to retirement, he worked at the former E&B Landscaping, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Piper, and his sister, Betty Saffer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen A. (Dick) Piper, three children, Timothy C. Piper Jr. of Latrobe, Beth Mizikar and husband, Edward, of Mammoth, and James Piper and wife, Misty, of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Timothy, Thomas, Christian, Reagan, Micah, Taylor, Reno, Hunter and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Katyann and Kayden; a brother, William Piper and wife, Dorothy, of Youngstown, lifelong friends, Joe and Lorraine Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews. Per Tim's request, there will be no visitation or viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date. LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, is in charge of arrangements.
