Thomas E. Urchek

Thomas E. Urchek, 66, of Blairsville, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born April 30, 1959, in Indiana, PA, a son of the late Alex and Helen (Harvey) Urchek. He was a graduate of Derry High School and a member of Derry Rod and Gun Club. Prior to retirement, Tom was the owner of Urchek Building and Remodeling Company. He was an intelligent and artistic builder who would build anything his wife, Debi would ask for, including their beautiful home. Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid hunter, having hunted all over the United States, Canada, and New Foundland. He was also on an episode of Bearded Buck and the next episode will be dedicated to him. Thomas was a true animal lover and adopted numerous dogs and cats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Dolores Basile; and his brother-in-law, Ken Litvik. He is survived by his wife, Debora (Basile) Urchek, three siblings, Michael Urchek, Carol Litvik, and Donna Piper (Roger); his brother-in-law, David Basile; his beloved dogs, River and Spenser; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM Friday, November 14, 2025, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, followed by a funeral service to begin at 11 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Chaffee officiating.
