Stanley R. Burnfield, 84, of South Greensburg, died Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Mountain View Memory Care, Hempfield Township. He was born October 24, 1940 in Waynesburg, the son of the late Roscoe and Artie (Hixenbaugh) Burnfield. Prior to retirement he had been employed by ABB, South Greensburg. Stanley was a lifetime member and past President of the South Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department and loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Leoda Brewer and Noreen Acklin. He is survived by his wife, Sally (Hanko) Burnfield, his daughter, Beth McClure and husband Tim of Harrison City, his son, David P. Burnfield and wife Holly of Greensburg, 5 grandchildren, A.J. and Niki McClure, Rachael LaQuatra, Rebecca Sider and Adison Hall, 3 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Karen McDowell and husband Bruce and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Private funeral service and entombment will be in St. Clair Cemetery. South Greensburg VFD will conduct a firefighter memorial service at 6:30 PM Monday in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Memory Care and Medi Care Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to South Greensburg Methodist Church, 411 Sheridan Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.
