Shirley M. Capasso, 89, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at her home. She was born December 19, 1935, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Sara (Simpson) Tinsley. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. Shirley enjoyed being outdoors, spending time at the family lake houses, visiting the beach, and drives to visit state parks while enjoying nature. She cherished all the times she spent with her family and friends, especially during holiday gatherings. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Capasso; and five siblings, Doris Alcorn, Sara Hawkins, Lois Beverage, Robert Tinsley, and Donna Hornick. She is survived by her children, Scott Capasso (Lee), Rodney Capasso (Kim), and Jeannine Stowers (Ron); eight grandchildren, Teresa, Michael, Brian, Mitchell, Jamie, Claire, Lauren, and Jacob; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stout and Linda Wallace; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon with the Rev. Brian Chaffee officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. www.bachafh.com
