Sheila "Pebbles" (Mauthe) Shirey

Sheila “Pebbles” (Mauthe) Shirey, 61, of Greensburg, formerly of Vandergrift, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born April 13, 1963, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late George and Barbara (Taylor) Mauthe.  Pebbles was a free spirit and a fighter.  She did things on her terms and her way.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nickolas Shirey; and two brothers, Gregory “Burt” Mauthe and Bradley “Chicken” Mauthe.  She is survived by two daughters, April Shirey (Crystal) and Rachel Cook (Anthony; 13 grandchildren; her brother, Eric “Newt” Mauthe; and several nieces and nephews.  Honoring Pebbles’ wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.  LEO M.
