Sarah E. (LaPaglia) DePasquale

Sarah E. DePasquale, 96, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  She was born July 12, 1927, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Angelo LaPaglia and the late Margaret (Gentile) LaPaglia McFeeley.  Prior to retirement she had been employed by the Joseph Horne Company in Greengate Mall.  She was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Sarah loved to cook big Italian dinners, especially for Sunday family dinners which meant the world to her.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, Henry, liked to play dominos, and looked forward to her Friday hair appointment every week.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. DePasquale; and two sisters, Angeline Chelan and Frances Fannerella.  Sarah is survived by two sons, Terrance E. DePasquale and his partner Brian Wolfe and their son Jeremy, and Edward H. DePasquale and his wife Mary Cay Ross; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grand-nieces, and great-grand-nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Weatherwood Manor, Dr. Kathryn Bender and her staff, and all the medical professionals at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Weatherwood Manor, 896 Weatherwood Ln., Greensburg, PA 15601, or to St. Paul Parish, 820 Carbon Rd., Greensburg, PA 15601.  www.bachafh.com
