Obituary

Ronald D. Guidas, 75, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 26, 2023, in Greensburg. He was born August 17, 1948, in Greensburg, a son of the late Frank T. Sr. and Mary E. (Grajcar) Guidas. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Coca-Cola for over 20 years and also held many positions at the Westmoreland County Courthouse. Ronald served in the US Army and was a lifelong member of the AMVETS.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Ann Elliott, and Veronica Guidas. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann (Ross) Alcorn Guidas; his children, Heather Mock (Rob Antisdel), James Alcorn (Erin Gilbert), and Robert Alcorn (Andrea Rupert); seven grandchildren, Ashleigh Kalgren (Kenny), Trey Mock, Julian Riley, Maggie Alcorn, Jaidyn Alcorn, Conner Shawley, and Ava Shawley; two great grandchildren, Devana and Apollo Kalgren; two brothers, Frank T. Guidas, Jr. (Judy), and Kenneth E. Guidas (Ginny); one brother in law, Emory Elliott; a special niece, Michelle Shawley (Jerry); several nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Libby.  Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A family funeral service will be held prior to visitation hours with Major Earnest Fullwood officiating.  Full military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
