Robert Veshosky Obituary

Robert T. Veshosky, 57, of Greensburg, passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife, family, and dear friends on Friday, March 25, 2022, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born February 15, 1965, in Greensburg to the late Robert and Donna (Shively) Veshosky.  Bob graduated from Greensburg Salem High School in 1983.

After high school Bob attended the ICM School of Business in Pittsburgh.  The knowledge he gained helped him through his career in the construction equipment rental industry.  He has worked for the major rental companies, Sunbelt, United Rentals, and Herc Rentals.  His current position was Vice President of Sales and Operations with Washington Air Compressor Rental.

In the seventh grade Bob realized he was in love with now wife, Wendy E. (Hoyle) Veshosky, but life had other plans for both of them.  After many years, they found each other again and married on February 11, 2011 at Seton Hill University with a Valentine’s Day theme.  It was a perfect day for two soulmates to come together as one.

Everyone that knew Bob knew his favorite activities involved boats and water.  He was “Captain Bob” to many.  His happy places were on the lake at Deep Creek, MD, the Mon, Allegheny, and Ohio Rivers in Pittsburgh, the Chesapeake Bay, MD, and the Severn River, MD.  I don’t think anyone knows exactly how many boats Bob owned during his lifetime.  He truly loved the water.  He loved to live on the water.  He loved to play on the water.  He loved to drink on the water (when he was docked).  He loved to entertain family and friends on the water.  He made friends on each and every body of water he navigated.  Bob was one with the universe if he was on the water.

The only thing Bob loved more than the water was his family.  He put his family first.  He was predeceased by his loving parents.  He was a wonderful son and brother.  Bob took great care of his mom after his dad died at a young age.  He was also predeceased by his sister, Pamela (Veshosky) Hutchinson.  He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Wendy; his beloved daughter, Robin Veshosky; his dear step-children, Katelyn Larsen (Patrick), Kasey Liston (Marina), and Kolby Liston; step-grandchildren, Maddox, Lindy, and Ensley Liston, and Kainon Larsen; his beloved sister, Debbie Tompkins (Bill); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick Hoyle and Barb Ciampini; mother-in-law, Kay Hoyle; aunt, Carol Shively; several nephews, cousins, and many dear friends; and his beloved dog, Rudy, who never left his side.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Steven L. Craft officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  The family would like to thank Excela Health Home Care and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Bob.  Memorial contributions may be made to Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, 135 Clelian Heights Ln., Greensburg, PA 15601.  www.bachafh.com
