Robert “Bob” Vertosick, age 74, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born September 20, 1950, in Tarentum, a son of the late John A. and Josephine (Baluch) Vertosick. He proudly served his country for 22 years in the Army Reserve, retiring at the rank of Major in 1996. Bob graduated from West Virginia University as an electrical engineer. He worked for several companies in the area before starting his own business. He owned his own electrical contracting company for over 30 years. When not working, he enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills. He was the go-to guy to fix a problem or provide a solution and guidance. He was always happy when he had a project, no matter how large or small. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Vertosick; and two sisters, Lori Vertosick and Karen Powell. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda (Lawrence) Vertosick; two daughters, Penny (Mark) Bittner, of Greensburg and Melissa (James) Harry, of Colorado; his son, Jeffrey (Ann) Vertosick, of Ohio; five grandchildren, Josh, Jenna, Amelia, Dylan, and Sophia; five siblings, Kathy (Fritz) McClain, Ronald Vertosick, Joseph (Stella) Vertosick, Elayne (Ron) Dolny, and Joni (Mark) Yingling; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Private interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. www.bachafh.com
