Richard M. Matsko, Jr.

Richard M. Matsko, Jr., 38, of Unity Township, died Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at home.  He was born December 25, 1987 in Latrobe, a son of Tina M. (Frank) Yasenosky and husband George of Greensburg and Richard M. Matsko, Sr. and fiancée Sandy Frey of Mt. Pleasant Township.  He was a graduate of Greater Latrobe High School and WCCC.  He was the chef and owner of Terrapin Bistro on Avenue B in Latrobe.  Richie loved his customers, friends and family.  He enjoyed snowboarding and eating and was especially thankful to Darlene Schmucker for making his dream come true.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Ryan D. Matsko (Kelly Cooper) of Mt. Pleasant Township, step brothers, Matthew, Andrew and David, step sister, Katie, grandma, Nancy, his best friend/companion, Jessi Bridge, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his cat Jon Snow.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral liturgy to be held at 3 PM Friday, May 8, 2026 at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity with The Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini officiating.  Visitation will continue after the service until 7 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to the D & B Creekside Activities Center, 501 Avenue B, Latrobe, PA  15650.
