Richard E. Frantz

Richard E. Frantz, 68, of Unity Township, died Saturday, March 21, 2026 at home.  He was born December 10, 1957 in Latrobe, a son of the late Russell W. “Bill” and Jo Anne (Loughner) Frantz.  Prior to retirement he operated Rick Frantz Construction then later constructed and maintained billboards.  He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Greensburg.  Rick loved model railroading, playing guitar and making bonfires.  He is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. (Trout) Frantz, his son, Jeremy D. Frantz and wife Amy E. of Pittsburgh and daughter, Elizabeth A. Frantz at home, 3 grandchildren, Ella, Piper and Logan Frantz, his brother, Russel L. Frantz and wife Elaine of Unity Township and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity when funeral services will be held with Pastor Joshua Franklin officiating.  Private interment in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 8th Avenue, Suite 1402, New York, NY 10018 or to the family to establish a fund for his daughter Elizabeth.
