Paul E. Stokes

Paul E. Stokes, 81, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in his home. He was born March 19, 1940, in La Crosse, WI, a son of the late Pern Paul and Magdeline Elizabeth (Hanke) Stokes. Prior to retirement he had been a machinist for the Elliott Company, Jeannette for nearly four decades. He loved God and was a devoted member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. He was a member of the United States Steelworkers Union and an Air Force veteran. Paul was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his angel granddaughter, Brianna Stokes; brother, Lawrence Stokes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Jean (Pietropaoli) Damico; sister-in-law, Janet Damico; and brother-in-law, Bucky Gibson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Jean (Damico) Stokes; three sons, Richard Stokes (Christine), Robert Stokes, and Brian Stokes (Marie); three grandchildren, Michael Stokes, Amanda Martz (Wesley), and Shiann Stokes; his sister, Patricia C. Royer; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Gibson; brother-in-law, Ronald Damico (Sandra); and several nieces and nephews. All services are private.
