Paul B. Budney

Paul B. Budney, 85, of Kecksburg, died Monday, February 10, 2025 at Hempfield Manor, Greensburg.  He was born September 23, 1939 in Unity Township, a son of the late John and Magdalene (Pochinski) Budny.  Prior to retirement he was professional truck driver, a career he absolutely loved, then retired from the former J J Sosko Trucking.  Paul was a proud veteran of the US Army and member of the Norvelt and Kecksburg Firemen’s clubs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie L. (Miller) Budney, 3 brothers, John Edward, Theodore and Philip Budney and 4 sisters, Anna Louise Budney, Irene Dicriscio, Genevieve Skovira and Mary Ida Levendosky.  He is survived by 2 sisters, Leona Weir of Mammoth and Wanda Tlumack of Mt. Pleasant and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 6 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Florian Catholic Church with The Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
