Patti Lynn (Halstead) Bires

Patti Lynn Bires, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on June 16, 2026. Born on July 11, 1957, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Margaret (Love) Halstead.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Halstead, and her sister, Karen Milyak.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, John; her daughter, Hillary Snyder and her husband, Rick; her three grandsons, Lyric, Miles, and Coleson Snyder; her sister, Barb McManigle; and her brother, Jerry Halstead. She also leaves behind her cherished pet companions, Charlie and Smokey, whom she loved dearly.

Patti was a 1975 graduate of Hempfield Area High School. She later attended Median School and Westmoreland County Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. Throughout her career, she worked as a nurse at several hospitals and nursing care facilities before later working as a cook at several local restaurants.

She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish in Latrobe. Patti enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to the beach, reading, studying Civil War history, and listening to classic rock music.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patti's Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1011 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg.
