Patricia Nandor Obituary

Patricia L. (Murt) Nandor passed away December 16, 2025, after 90 years of dancing through life.

Raised in Belle Vernon, PA, and a long-time resident of Greensburg, PA, Pat attended Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing and committed to a lifetime of service at hospitals in Pittsburgh, Monongahela, and Jeannette, as well as at Seton Hill University in Greensburg. When she retired as Director of the Student Wellness Center at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, Pat left a legacy of kindness, care, and generosity.

Pat met her beloved husband, Ron, in high school and they married in 1957, the first wedding in St. Sebastian Parish in Belle Vernon, PA. They celebrated 41 years together before Ron passed away in 1998. Pat loved both her careers—as a nurse and a mother of four. Even though she balanced the two gracefully, family always came first. She was a giver through and through, and the impact of her selflessness continues to ripple among all who knew her. Pat loved and was loved deeply. Whether traveling to visit family, dancing, playing bridge, volunteering, or just walking around her neighborhood, Pat sparkled with life. Her gentle soul, compassionate heart, and nurturing nature made her an inspiring matriarch and ready friend.

A daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Cope) Murt, Pat was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Nandor and son-in-law Joseph Alwan. She will be profoundly missed by many, including her daughter Cynthia Nickerson and son-in-law David; son Ronald Nandor, Jr. and daughter-in-law Angela; daughter Deborah Reynolds and son-in-law Richard; daughter Mary Ann Alwan; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Thomas Murt and sister-in-law Mary Lou; stepsister Terri White, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and adoring friends.

Family and friends will be received at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, PA, on Sunday December 21 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA, on Monday December 22 at 9:30 am. Please go directly to the church. Interment immediately following at Monongahela Cemetery, 800 Country Club Road, Monongahela, PA.
