Nicholas Lopushansky Jr., 68, of Greensburg, died Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 14, 1952, in Greensburg, a son of the late Nicholas and Katherine C. (Balash) Lopushansky. Nicholas started his banking career in 1973 as a teller at Mellon Bank in Greensburg at the Fourth and Main Streets branch. He continued with Mellon and then Citizens Bank for nearly 48 years, where he was currently the Senior Vice President Regional Director, Midwest Division. Nicholas had just received the Citizen of Excellence award for the sixth time and was so proud of his accomplishments. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree, Hannastown Golf Club and was past chairman and board member of the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County. His family was his world. He enjoyed golfing, many trips with his wife, having his family gathered at the pool and holidays. His pride for his two granddaughters was unmeasurable. Although too short, his life was a life well-lived through his accomplishments at work and the unending support and love he gave to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith McElfresh; and two sisters-in-law, Susan S. Lopushansky and Susan Bishop. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Bishop) Lopushansky; two daughters, Alexis Blose and husband, Bryan, of Greensburg and Mary Nosal and husband, Matthew, of Mt. Lebanon; two granddaughters, Sydney Blose and Penelope Nosal; and his brother, Mark E. Lopushansky, of Greensburg. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, William Bishop and wife, Connie, and Donald Bishop and wife, Susan, all of Florida, and Clarence Bishop and wife, Geralyn, of Langhorne; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree, with the Rev. Justin Matro OSB, as celebrant.
