Michelle R. (Piper) Bier

Michelle R. Bier, 60, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at home.  She was born May 2, 1964 in Latrobe, a daughter of Dorothy L. (Crawford) Piper of Youngstown and the late William A. Piper, Sr.  She worked as a bakery manager for Shop N Save in Latrobe and Wilkinsburg then operated the former Mungies Eatery in Delmont.  Michelle loved bingo, owls and spending time with her granddaughters.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her boyfriend Gary Shirey.  She is survived by her daughters, Nicole Nemila and husband Kevin of Youngstown and Aleasha Japalucci and husband Jordan of Latrobe, 3 granddaughters, Zoey Bier, Lily Monholland and Eloise Nemila, her brother, William A. Piper, Jr. of Kentucky, her sister, Kimberly Donitzen and husband John of Latrobe, best friend, Danny Thomas, several nieces and nephews and her dog Gracie.  Private funeral arrangements by LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
