Michael N. Zappone

Michael N. Zappone, 47, of Latrobe, died Monday, September 4, 2023.  He was born May 31, 1976, in Latrobe.  He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post No. 982.  Mike enjoyed artwork and drawing, being outdoors, and gathering with his friends.  Above all though, he enjoyed gaming and watching movies with his son, Christian.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Lynn Zappone.  He is survived by his father, Michael J. Zappone (Cheryl Scrip); his mother, Diana (Oldham) Nicholson (Garry); two sons, Christian Zappone (Taylor Pegram), and Angelo Zappone; his sister, Jennifer Lynn Atkinson (Tony Kopetsky); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Durika officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to assist with funeral expenses.
