Michael G. Kaleina, 75, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on April 10, 1949, in Warren, PA, a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Horvath) Kaleina. Michael attended St. Joseph Elementary in Warren, Erie Cathedral Prep High School and Saint Vincent College where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, the Westmoreland Arts and Heritage Festival, the Greater Greensburg Jaycees, and the Central Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce. He also was a member of the Westmoreland County Special Olympics, Saint Vincent College Bearcat Athletic Club, and a commissioner of the West Penn College Hockey Association. He was a safety coordinator for Right of Way Clearing and Midwest Underground and previously worked as an Aflac agent. Michael had a passion for trains, highway construction and HO model railroading. He is survived by his brother, David G. Kaleina, D.C. (Betsy) of Greensburg; two sisters, Charlene M. Kaleina of Connecticut and Georgene M. Kaleina, Esq., of Maryland; five nieces and nephews, Alexei Kaleina, Jessica Pigza (Nate), Megan Cooper (Bobby), Marissa Flaherty, M.D. (Chris) and Mckenna Flaherty (Alexis); and four great nieces and nephews, Sophia, Brandon, Rachel and Kane. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. www.bachafh.com
