Michael C. Dobies, 57, of Greensburg, died Friday, April 8, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 14, 1964, in Jeannette, a son of Stanley C. and Carolyn Linda (Garner) Dobies, of South Greensburg. Mike was a graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic High School Class of 1982. He had been employed by First Energy for 33 years, working as a lineman for 26 years and then spent the rest of his career as a supervisor and project manager. He was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Mike had previously owned his own construction company and enjoyed building things and working on cars. He was a college basketball fan. He loved to watch March Madness and cheer on West Virginia University. He also loved to travel to the beach and snorkel. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah L. (Hayden) Dobies; his son, Anthony Dobies, of Morgantown, WV; his daughter, Kelly Andersen and husband Jason, of Springfield, VA; his brother, David Dobies and wife Tracy, of Greensburg; his father and mother-in-law; brother-in-law; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.
