Mary Ann “Hun” Pianko, 90, of Humphreys, died Friday, December 20, 2024 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born October 22, 1934 in Humphreys, a daughter of the late Ignatius W. and Antoinette (Staschak) Pianko. Prior to retirement she worked at Westinghouse (Powerex) in Youngwood. She was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United and had been a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church. Hun enjoyed spending time with inside and outside decorations for all holidays. She especially enjoyed planting flowers and painting. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine E. “Katie” Pianko and a brother, Joseph Pianko. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Pianko and wife Patricia of Loyalhanna, 2 sisters, Ann Gumbita of Latrobe and Ginny Trout of Humphreys and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Friday followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Florian Catholic Church with The Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township. A parish vigil service will be held Thursday at 6:45 PM in the funeral home.
