Mary Margaret Gordon

Mary Margaret Gordon, 88, of Norvelt, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born September 21, 1936, in Jeannette, she was the daughter of the late John Radler and Margaret (Hawthorne) Gordon.  Mary was the heart of her family and a friend to everyone she met. Known for her warm smile and the light she carried with her, she had a gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed.  She is survived by her loving children: Fred Petrella Jr. (Donna), Michelle Castine, Philip (Cindy) Petrella , and Christina Johnston. She was the proud grandmother of Stephen Castine, Julia Andrews ,  Johnny Andrews Jr, Alexandra Troupe, and Emily Petrella.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Consuella Hails and Bridget Gordon; & her brother, Kenneth Gordon Jr.  In her later years, Mary was lovingly cared for by her daughter Christina and grandson Johnny, whose constant support, patience, and compassion meant everything to her and to the entire family.  Her life was a testament to unconditional love, warmth, and the joy of everyday moments. She will be missed beyond words but remembered with deep gratitude by all who knew her.  There will be no visitation or viewing.  A private graveside service was held Monday, May 5th at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mt.
