Martin E. Osif, 88, of Trauger, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his home. He was born October 27, 1933, in Trauger, a son of the late Michael Sr. and Julia (Sprock) Osif. Prior to retirement he had been a small engine mechanic for Sears Service Center. He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger and had formerly been a cantor for the church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Steve, John and Mike Osif; and five sisters, Helen Cholock, Elizabeth Rozinsky, Dorothy Kowalski, Ann Budavacoli, and Mary DeLasho. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy I. (Bodnar) Osif; daughter, Tina Osif; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Robert Knouse; grandson, James Knouse; and three great-granddaughters; Abigail, Adeline, and Allison Knouse. There will be no public visitation. Private services were held in the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Interment was also private. www.bachafh.com
