Margaret A. (Bennish) Lisbon

Margaret A. Lisbon, 92, of Whitney, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Kecksburg where she has resided for the last 9 years.  She was born April 18, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Matthew and Anna (Grega) Bennish.  Prior to retirement she was a lunch lady at Greater Latrobe Junior High School and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Whitney.  Margie was raised in Calumet until she married Thomas R. Lisbon and moved to Whitney where you could find her on the front porch swing.  Earlier in life she enjoyed vacationing with her friends to the beach, walking and attending mass at St. Cecilia.  Margie loved her bingos!  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Lisbon, Sr., 3 brothers, John, Paul and Andrew Bennish and 4 sisters, Ann Bennish, Mary Sedlak, Helen Kaminsky and Elizabeth Zelenak.  She is survived by 2 sons, Thomas R. Lisbon, Jr. and wife Pattilyn and John M. Lisbon and wife Bonnie all of Latrobe, her daughter, Monica Howard and husband Brian of Kecksburg, 6 grandchildren, Natalie A. Lentz, Thomas R. Lisbon, III and wife Christy, Matthew M. Lisbon and wife Krista, Carrie E. Lisbon and fiancé Ezra Lenk, Nathan J. Lisbon and wife Josie and Nikki M. Lisbon and her partner Nick Grasmick, 10 great grandchildren, Zachary, Emma, Johnny and Jaimie Lisbon, Jayden and Jayce Learn, Audrinna Lisbon Schmucker and Paislei, Monroe and Milena Lisbon, and several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Paula Harr.  There will be no visitation or viewing.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 AM Monday in St. Cecilia Church, Whitney, with The Rev. James F. Podlesny, OSB as celebrant.  Please go directly to the church.  Private interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Cecilia Church, 220 St. Cecilia Road, Latrobe, PA  15650.  LEO M.
