Madysen Stauffer Obituary

Madysen M. Stauffer, 25, of Perryville, MD, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland.  She was born May 11, 1998, in Greensburg, a daughter of John and Julie (Kobil) Stauffer.  She had been employed by Northrop Grumman Corporation.  Mady was a graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School Class of 2016.  She had a passion for engineering and graduated from Penn State University, Harrisburg in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.  Mady loved artwork and music.  She was a free spirit who was not afraid to try anything and everything.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jack and Irene “Grammy” Stauffer; maternal grandparents, George and Helen Kobil; her beloved uncle, George Kobil; and her great-uncle, Tom Kobil.  In addition to her parents, Mady is survived by her sister, Rachel Perkowski (Jordan); her nephew, Noah; godmother, Charmaine Strong; aunts and uncles, Patty Shebeck, Karl Kobil (Stephanie), Deacon Robert Stauffer (Bonnie), and Veronica Holby (David); her “adopted” grandmother, Bobbie Skergan; several cousins who she loved deeply; and her dog and beloved friend, Jackson.  Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Wednesday in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg.  Please go directly to the church.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  www.bachafh.com
