M. Timothy Horner, 90, of Unity Township, died Sunday, November 9, 2025 with his wife by his side, whom he loved dearly. He was born May 14, 1935 in Latrobe, a son of the late Frank Horner and Anna F. (King) Horner Chinchock. Prior to retirement he worked at the former ICI in Derry, was a farmer and former dog catcher for Unity Township. Tim lived a life filled with laughter, kindness and an endless supply of good stories. For 71 years he was the devoted husband of Harriet, side by side they created a life rich in love, hard work and countless adventures. He loved his farm, hunting, spending time at his camp in Tionesta, attending coon hunters conventions and being with his family and beloved wife. Everywhere he went there was someone who knew him. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Tim could make a room light up with a joke, a story or a good-natured tease. He was a man with a huge heart, someone who made friends easily and left everyone feeling better. His greatest joy was simply spending time with family sharing meals, making memories and showing his love in countless ways. He served with the US Navy and was a member of Donegal American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children Tommy and Amy, step-father James Chinchock, 3 brothers, Wilbert “Butch” and Richard Horner and James Chinchock, his sister Joyce Horner and his special dog Geno. He is survived by his wife Harriet Ruth (Dishong) Horner, 9 children, Mary Trybus (Tim), Jessie Hoburn, Tim Horner (Laurie), Frank Horner, Toni Nemcheck (Tony), Sonya Horner, Rob Horner (Kim), Joyce Jacobs and Cari Sue Lemasters, 19 grandchildren, Jerry, Chrystal, T.J., Mike, Tim, Courtney, Brandi, Chris, Josh, Racheal, Jen, Dale, Megan, Shelly, Robbie, Ashley, Nathan, Joelle and Ryan, 30 great grandchildren, Kelsey, Andrew, Alexis, Jordan, Adrienne, Hannah, Gina, Abby, Luke, Chase, Addy, Kendall, Josie, Lyla, Lainey, Ella, Sophie, Julia, Allie, Dallin, Corbin, Maisie, Chesnie, Hattie, Aria, Nola, Cece, Landon, Maliyah and Mylin, 9 great great grandchildren, Dillon, Noah, Drew, Madalyn, Asher, Violet, Ainsley, Dymtro and Natalie, a brother, Jack Horner (Eloise) and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are welcome to come as they are, share their favorite stories and honor a life well lived from 3 to 7 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A private funeral service will be held for family on Thursday with The Rev. David L. Greer officiating. Friends are invited to a gathering after the service at 11:30 AM Thursday at the Hostetter Slovak Club.
