Lois G. Stefko, 74, of Latrobe, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Francis F. and Mary E. (Wadlinger) Bussey.
Lois was a devoted member of Charter Oak Church – Frye Farm Campus. She dedicated her professional life to education, serving as an elementary and reading teacher with the Polk County, Florida School District for 17 years. Following her return to Pennsylvania, she continued her passion for teaching as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor with the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by four siblings: Muriel Robbins, Mary Elizabeth Santiago, Catherine Bussey, and Francis F. Bussey, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Stefko; two sons, Robert P. Stefko of Latrobe and Paul M. Stefko and his wife, Jamie, of Forest Hills; her sister, Dolores Marchesano of New Port Richey, Florida; two brothers-in-law, Spencer Robbins and Juan Santiago; her special niece, Vanessa Womble; and several other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Charter Oak Church – Frye Farm Campus, 449 Fry Farm Road, Greensburg, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Chris Whitehead officiating.
