Linden Hihath Obituary

Linden “Don” Hihath,79, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg following a battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3, 1944, in Falls City, NE, a son of the late Olaf and Joan Hihath of Omaha, NE. Don lived his life dedicated to his family and friends. He loved his family, friends, and his dogs. Don was a Veteran of the United States Navy, where he proudly served on the U.S.S Harry E. Yarnell during his service in the Navy. He spent many years with his grandchildren enjoying every weekly SeaBase Family Fun Center outing, family vacations, and a lot of fun and laughter. He loved his rescued Dobermans and other dogs, Princess, Max, Missy, Gretchen, and Barron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Ann (Badzik) Hihath; a sister, Sandra Sudduth; a brother-in-law, Robert Bragg; and a nephew, Scott Maddux. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Leanne and Kirk Lentz; his three “favorite” grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew, and Gabriella Lentz, all of Greensburg; a sister, Denise Bragg; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Pam Hihath, all of Omaha, NE; a brother -in-law and sister-in-law John and Kathy Badzik of Phoenix, AZ; a cousin, Sam Herndon and daughter Terri of Albuquerque, NM; a niece, Andrea and daughter; nephews, Johnny, Sean and wife Ali and son of Omaha, NE, Patrick of CA; and two nieces, Jennifer and Rachel and their children, all of Phoenix, AZ.  Friends will be received from 2 to 5 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 820 Carbon Road, Greensburg.
