Linda J. Thompson, 70, of Greensburg passed away peacefully August 26, 2023, at Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born January 15, 1953, in Greensburg. She was the daughter and only child of the late Charles and Marjorie (Beckner) Black. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Thompson, III. Linda was the #1 Penn State Fanatic, and she wasn’t afraid to tell you about her 32 years worth of season tickets and never missing a single game. Though, now you can argue, she and Bill have the best seats in the house. In addition to her love of the Blue and White, she was self-employed as an at home daycare provider for over 42 years. Let us never forget, as an amateur chocolatier, she bestowed the gifts of love and sweetness on anyone who stepped a foot in her front door. Linda is survived by her daughter, Tammy J Sullenberger; two grandsons, Corey Sullenberger (Shelby Bepler) and Dylan Sullenberger (Emmett Perry); one great granddaughter, Kinsley; several nieces and nephews; and countless more who knew her as “Gram.” Though we may mourn, this woman who had the heart of an Angel finally got her wings. Interment will be private. Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg is assisting with arrangements. #WeAre
