Lidio Biz Obituary

Lidio M. “Rusty” Biz, 90, of Hempfield Township, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg.  He was born October 5, 1930 in Jeannette, a son of the late Augusto and Clementina (DePra) Biz.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by Mellon Stuart Construction Company.  He was an Air Force veteran.  Rusty was a lifelong member of the Greensburg Country Club, was a member of the American Legion, Jeannette, and was a founding member of the M&S Club, Jeannette.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lidio; two sisters, Lee Antoniak and Gloria Giallonardo; and his longtime companion Dolores Iannarelli.  He is survived by his son, Douglas M. Biz and wife Mary Louise, of Greensburg; two daughters, Lydia Yackovich and husband Gregory, of Jeannette and Vicki Herman and husband Ronald “Bucky”, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Swanson, and Amber and Natalie Herman; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 6 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral mass will begin at 10 AM Monday in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, 1517 Poplar St., Greensburg.  Please go directly to the church.  Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.  Please be prepared to adhere to all current health guidelines, including face masks and social distancing.  www.bachafh.com
