Leon M. Miles, 99, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. He was born November 27, 1924, in Mount Carmel. Leon was a proud Navy veteran serving during World War II. Prior to retirement he had worked as a carbide engineer and metallurgist. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha (Strocko) Miles; his second wife, Ellie (Klingler) Miles; his son, Lee Miles; and his step-grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his children, Kathy Davis and husband Mike, of Texas, Judith Miles-Bean and husband David, of Oregon, and Jeffrey Miles and wife Karen, of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Lori (Pete), Jennifer, Kristina (Chase), Sarah, Jason, and Joshua; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 12 to 1 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 1 PM Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:30 PM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
