Larry B. Brown, Sr.

Larry B. Brown Sr., 72, of Latrobe, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at his home. He was born March 1, 1951, in Ligonier, a son of the late Merle C. Sr. and Viola (Dillinger) Brown. Prior to retirement, he worked for Laborer's Union Local No. 1058, then at Lowe's after retirement. He was a life member of Cooperstown Vets & Sportsmen's Club and the American Slovak Society, in Snydertown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie D. (Ross) Brown; a son, Larry B. Brown Jr.; four brothers, Gerald, Russell, Gilbert and D. Glenn Brown; and three sisters, Carrie Legas, Doris Haase and Sylvia Rolla. He is survived by his children, Wendy Sue Fircetz, of Unity Township, and Brian J. Brown, at home; six grandchildren, Kelsey Boskovitch (Bolton), Jordan, Kady (Dom) and Tyler Brown and Johnnie and Devin Fircetz; two great-granddaughters, Carter Brown and Kenna Boskovitch; two brothers, Phillip H. and Merle C. Brown Jr.; a sister, Ethel Ridenour; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the LEO M.
