On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Joe was finally reunited after 25 years with his loving wife, JoAnn Twigger.

Joseph F. Twigger, Jr., 91, of Greensburg, was born May 11, 1932, eldest son of the late Agnes Twigger. Along with his wife and mother, he was preceded in death his infant daughter, Mary Agnes; two brothers, George “Bud” and Harry; a daughter-in-law, Rosie; a son-in-law, Richard; and a granddaughter, Nicole.

Joe will be missed by many including his four children, Joseph of Greensburg, Pam (George) of Acme, Deborah (Wiliam) of Latrobe, and Gena (Donald) of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Chad (Cheryl) of Swansboro NC, Courtney (Brian) of Uniontown, Brittney (Jeff) of Greensburg, and Nicholas (Heather) of Greensburg; his great grandchildren, Mariah, Cailey, Olivia, Finn, Colin, and Maddie Jo; a granddogger, DiceAnn, who he loved calling Nissan; a sister, Susie of Michigan; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Joe was a proud Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War, faithfully serving 22 years in the US Army. Joe earned many awards and decorations including, the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, and a Combat Infantry Badge. Following retirement from the Army he was a truck driver for 25 years, finally retiring from SuperValu.

On a warm day you could find Joe sitting in his garage listening to Willie Nelson drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon waving to everyone as they went by. He enjoyed having all the family around, but we all knew it was time to go when he would tap his watch. His love of travel continued as he aged, always looking forward to his yearly road trips to Arizona.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum with Full Military Honors accorded by the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg Honor Guard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Donofrio and his staff for their amazing care that was given over the years. Also, a thank you to the Excela Health Home Care and Hospice team that came to the house, especially nurse Lisa A., not only to help him but also educate and help us through this process.
