Joseph M. Kovatch, of Unity Township, formerly of Bradenton Florida, lost his battle with cancer, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at his home. He was born November 12, 1972 in Jeannette, a son of Jacqueline R. (Minnich) Kovatch of Unity Township and the late John A. Kovatch of Bradenton, Florida. Prior to his illness he worked at Flex Bon Paints in Bradenton, FL and previously worked for Chris-Craft Boats in Sarasota, FL. Joe was a master at electronics and loved sharing his hobby of RC vehicles. He loved his animals and loved to see everyone having fun. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother Tony Kovatch and wife Colleen of Unity Township, his sister, Theresa Kovatch of Florida, nephews and niece, Cameron (Brooke) Kovatch of Latrobe, Dylan (Cassandra) Kovatch of Unity, and Taralyn Duschene of Florida as well as his beloved great nephews, Tucker, Grayson and Lincoln. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, at which time a memorial service will be held with Pastor Kevin Giddings officiating. Memorial contributions can be made directly to the family. Donations will help to cover the funeral expenses and the remainder will be donated to local animal shelters.
