John F. Ulishney

John F. Ulishney, 89, of Unity Township, died Monday, December 15, 2025 at home.  He was born May 23, 1936 in Unity Township, a son of the late Stephen W. and Anna T. (Stofko) Ulishney.  He was a graduate of Latrobe High School and prior to retirement he owned and operated John’s Lawn & Garden in Ligonier and formerly at Beatty.  He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite, Kecksburg Sportsmen’s Club and B.P.O.E. #868 in Mt. Pleasant.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Ruoff) Ulishney, a grandson, Ethan Leasure, 4 brothers, Paul, Stephen, Francis and Fred Ulishney and his sister, Mary M. Metz.  He is survived by his 2 children, Sharon L. Leasure (Jeffrey) of Estero, FL, and Bryan K. Ulishney (Jay Kadash) of Philadelphia, a grandson, Zachary Leasure (Victoria), granddaughter-in-law, Amy Leasure, 4 great grandsons, Landon and Emmett Leasure, Parker Kazlauskas, Cade West, a great-granddaughter, Everleigh Leasure, and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass to be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, December 29, 2025 in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 260 Bruno Road, Greensburg, PA.  Please go directly to the church.  Private inurnment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.  LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, is in charge of arrangements.  The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the Westmoreland County Blind Association, 911 S.
