John W. “Jack” Trice, 80, of Ruffs Dale, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at home. He was born May 24, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Ray E. and Nellie L. (Leeper) Trice. He was a graduate of Hurst High School and was a member of Christ Reformed Church in Ruffs Dale. Prior to retirement he worked at the Tribune Review and previously worked as a large truck mechanic and armored truck driver. He was a member of Christ Reformed Church, Ruffs Dale and Bridgeport Sportsmen’s Club where he enjoyed fishing. Jack also enjoyed hunting, gardening and sitting outside to watch the deer while smoking his pipe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Aunt who raised him, Anna “Gert” and James Barr, son-in-law, David Snyder, brothers, Robert, Ken, Wayne and Vernon and step brother Ron Jones. He is survived by his wife, Linda C. (Stillwagon) Trice, his daughter Melanie Snyder, step children, Barb Bridge, Terri Smith (Tim) and Eric “Rick” Bridge (Amanda Gluz), grandchildren, Tara Snyder (Josh Bright), Brad Snyder (Chelsie Anderson), Trista Smith Angelo (Clayton) and Taleena Gazda (Brian), 2 great granddaughters, Olivia Gazda and Ashlynn Bright and a great granddaughter and great grandson on the way. Also surviving is sister Josephine Trice, brother Ron Trice, and half-brothers Larry, Clifford, Barry, Brad, Glenn Arthur and Ray Trice and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday with The Rev. S. Dennis Kletzing officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
