John Richard Tempo, age 43, of Greensburg, passed unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at his home on December 25, 2025.
John, affectionately known as “Johnny” was trustworthy, loyal, and generous, with a quick wit and a contagious laugh that could fill a room. Johnny never met a stranger; he made friends wherever he went. He deeply loved his family and took great pride in the relationships that mattered most to him. He often spoke of some of the best times of his life spent with his family at camp in McKean County, where they made lifelong memories.
Johnny graduated from Seton Hill University with a Bachelors degree in Business. He worked at Reparex Fabricated Systems for over 20 years where he built a respected and successful career as a sales engineer. He had a true appreciation for hard work and loved being in power plants, where he welcomed challenges and enjoyed thinking outside the box to find solutions. It was never just a job to him, but something he took great pride in.
Johnny loved listening to music, real Christmas trees, cold weather, snowy days, and taking the long way home. He loved talking about the glory days of playing baseball and spending foggy days at the river. Johnny gave the very best hugs to those he loved most. Most of all, John loved his wife of 15 years, Jess, and the life they built together she was his heart. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend, and his love for his family was steady, constant, and deeply felt. He also adored his dogs—his very best friend Archie, who will miss him tremendously, and his Annie girl.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra “Sandy” Tempo. Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Tempo; his father, John Tempo; his brother, Tony Tempo (Melissa) ; his loving in-laws, Eric and Mary Baughman, Nona, his sister-in-law, Patricia Baughman , two niece's Taylor Tempo and Asia Baughman, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Johnny’s life was full of laughter, loyalty, good times, and love. He will be deeply missed and always remembered for the way he lived—fully, genuinely, and with an open heart. His wife will forever miss dancing with him in the kitchen.
