John E. Palmer, 66, of Hempfield Township, died Friday, December 6, 2024 at UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 24, 1958 in Latrobe, a son of the late Glenn L. Palmer and Rose A. (Poole) Pallitta. John enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time in the outdoors with his friends. He was a member of Hostetter Slovak Club, Hecla Sportsmen’s Club, Hecla Firemen’s Club and Calumet Community Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie J. Palmer and a brother, Jay A. Palmer. He is survived by a sister, Alicia J. Palmer (Carlos Ortega), 2 brothers, Scott L. Palmer (Cathy) and Donald M. Pallitta (Deborah), a special niece, Brittney Pallitta and several additional nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Hostetter Slovak Club. Private interment was in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, is assisting with arrangements.
